Time-consuming administration and a poor expense overview were the key drivers behind the European Tech Group’s decision to change their payment solution to Eurocard. Employees now have the possibility to have digital receipts sent to the Eurocard app, where they also can see all transactions.
European Tech Group is a Danish company specialising in innovating technology for a new generation of footwear, built with highly resistant material. Today, the company employs about 50 people, of which as many as 30 will regularly submit monthly expenses.
Not long ago, these expenses and the eventual expense reports were characterised by time-consuming administration and general disorder.
“The app solution we had before was linked to Mastercard via our bank. We grew tired of this solution because it was difficult to administer and we couldn’t view our transactions in their app,” says Christian O.B. Håkansson, Chief Accounting Officer at European Tech Group.
They decided to switch to Eurocard and to Smart receipts.
“This gave us a payment solution that now makes it easier for us to administer our cards and also allows us to see the transactions in the app immediately. Being able to see transactions straight away makes it easy to link an image of the receipt to the transaction, so it can then be quickly forwarded to our system.”
In addition, Eurocard has now set up a direct integration to a number of merchants, giving the employees the opportunity to have digital receipts sent directly from the merchant to their mobile phones, without even have to take a photo of the receipt. As soon as the purchase is made, the transaction appears in the Eurocard App together with information that a receipt from the merchant will be arriving within the next 24 hours.
“This feature is really cool! We already believe Eurocard is the best solution on the market, but this just makes it even better”, says Christian O.B. Håkansson.
Today, management has a much better overview of the company's transactions. And it also has a much smoother expense management process, both for the employees who need to report their expenses, and for the accountants who handle the expenses.
“It saves us having to use multiple systems, and we’ve also been able to get rid of unnecessary and time-consuming paper trails. We have also noted that our employees have become better at documenting their expenses. As a result, we now have better control of our costs,” says Christian O.B. Håkansson.
