What is Freja eID and how can I use it?

Freja eID is a free, government-approved digital ID that enables users without a Nordic social security number to securely verify their identity online.

You can use Freja eID to log into the Eurocard app and activate your card.

Important: A biometric passport is required to register for Freja eID.

To get started, download the Freja app and follow the step-by-step registration process. Once your Freja eID is approved, simply select Freja eID as your login method in the Eurocard app.

From September 8st 2025, the Eurocard app will only work for our Corporate cards. If you have a Eurocard private card, you will have to download the Spendwise app – so that you still can manage your card easily. There you can see your balance, transactions, and invoices – just like before
